At Horeb Haitian SDA Church, there are many departments or ministries that take care of the congregation’s needs. As directed by the general conference, these departments are lead by responsible church members that form the church board along with the pastor, elders, and deacons.
Christ calls each of us to work in His vineyard, but not all are called for the same task. Often ministry is viewed as the responsibility of pastors, elders, and church officers. But the Bible is clear that each Christian has a unique, God-given role to play. In a healthy church, each member is actively involved in some form of service.
"...but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him, who is the head, even Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by that which every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love." Ephesians 4:15, 16
In order to help us serve effectively, God gives us one or more spiritual gifts. These gifts are areas of special ability that facilitate our ministry. We hope the ministries in our church will help you grow spiritually in Christ.
